Thanh Do University
(TDU)

Thanhdo university was founded as the first private college in the Vietnamese higher education system in November 2004.

Thanhdo University aspires to create an educational environment where students can advance their intellect, develop their competencies, cultivate their virtues and learn how to harmonize, and our vision is to become the leading educational institution in Vietnam in terms of providing applied and practical skills and knowledge.

Therefore, ThanhDo university constantly seeks opportunities to improve training quality, expand cooperation and association programs, and promote the establishment of postgraduate programs. Since 2022, Thanh Do University (TDU), in partnership with several advanced international universities, including Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (UC TARC) – Malaysia, Universiti Technologi PETRONAS (UTP) – Malaysia, and a number of other European universities have launched its International PhD Programme.

For the I-PhD program, TDU plays the role of the admission representative, also the supportive partner with all collaborating universities and PhD students throughout the length of the I-PhD Programme from the process of finding information, enrollment, admission, scholarship application, coursework studying, research conducting to graduation.

Research Coach in Social Sciences
(RCISS)

Research Coach in Social Sciences (RCISS) was founded by Dr Hiep-Hung Pham in collaboration with the Office of Vuong and Associates Studies; the Center for Educational Research and Practice — Phu Xuan University — American Educational Foundation in October 2018.

The initiative seeks to improve the research capacities of Vietnamese young researchers and (co)publish their works. The program’s goal is to help learners gradually approach international standards in the social sciences (education, languages, policy, management, finance, accounting, economics, psychology, etc.), as evidenced by research paper, research grants, and other scientific products that recognized to domestic and international.

Aside from the 30-hour Fast Track training component, Research Coach in Social Sciences now includes a Coaching component in which students will be instructed and practised one-on-one with experts or other students.

The program’s training centred around the following topics: (i) scientific data and information; (ii) fundamental understanding of social sciences: (ii) Reading skills; (iv) Writing abilities; (v) Research ethics and attitudes; (vi) Research conduct; and (vii) Finalize and publish the research output.

As part of this I-PhD program, RCISS is responsible for implementing and overseeing the Pre-PhD course, which aims to enhance students’ research capacity and provide necessary and advanced research skills before and throughout the PhD program.

Universiti Teknologi Petronas
(UTP)

UTP was established on 10 January 1997 and is a leading private university in Malaysia.

UTP offers a wide range of industry-relevant engineering, science and technology programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It aims to produce well-rounded graduates with excellent leadership qualities and communication abilities.

It currently has an enrolment of over 1,000 postgraduates from more than 50 countries around the world. The university has continuously achieved numerous national and international recognition in only 24 years of its establishment. The most recent ranking of UTP are:

Tunku Abdul Rahman University College
(TAR UC)

TAR UC, established in 1969, is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Malaysia with more than 270,000 students, including international students from more than 20 countries, having passed through its doors.

TAR UC has 7 faculties and 1 centre namely Centre for Pre-University Studies, Faculty of Accountancy, Finance and Business, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Built Environment, Faculty of Communication and Creative Industries and Faculty of Social Science and Humanities. The university offers 200 programmes over a wide range of disciplines, which are widely recognised by the academia and industries for their depth and breadth of scope and academic rigor.

TAR UC has won many scholastic awards and recognition amongst which include SETARA 5-Star rating for the year 2018 / 2019 under the University Colleges category, Premier Digital Tech University status awarded by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (‘MDEC’) in 2019 for the second time and Sin Chew Education Awards 2018 / 19 where TAR UC was named as the recipient of the Outstanding Educational Institutions: Private Universities / Colleges award, Product Award and CSR award. Besides this, TAR UC also won the Asia Pacific CSR Awards 2016 where the University College won the Excellence in Education Improvement award.
